Challenge:

The owner of this boutique hotel and bar in Colorado undertook a major renovation in 2020. In order to capitalize on the fabulous mountain views it was decided to construct a rooftop bar. The access to the roof deck needed to protect the stairwell from inclement weather while providing the desired look.

Solution:
The operable over stationary roof access allows light into the stairwell and restaurant below when closed and low-profile access point when the rooftop bar is open, ensuring no patron’s view is blocked. The upscale experience is a draw for locals and a memorable treat for out-of-towners staying at the hotel.
